ROUGH ON RATS.
A WOMAN POISONED AT WHANGAREI.
A sad case of fatal poisoning occurred afa Whangarei this morning, the wife of Mr Samuel Gordon having died from the effects. of •' Rough on Hats." The case is rendered more" than ordinarily distressing, owing; to the fact that the deceased is quite a young woman and leaves a family of five small children motherless. Mrs Gordon, was only 29 years of age, and has been in a despondent frame of mind for some timo past. Death took place about 3 o'clock, this morning. The matter was reported to Constable Gordon, who has arranged for the customary inquest.
