CARPENTERS AND JOINERS.

Last evening a general meeting of members of' the Auckland Carpenters' and Joiners' Union was held in Robson's Rooms, ,Queen-Btree., for tho purpose of adopting rules and electing officers for the ensuing ye**- Mr Twdebope presided. There was $ rather small attendance. A set of rulewas submitted and agreed to. The meeting then elected the following officers tor the ensuing term: President, Mr W. Rose; secretary, Mr Probert; treasurer, Mr Casely; committee, Messrs Peat, Coad, Arnold and Barton ; and three trustees. On the motion of Mr Rose a hearty vote of thanks was accorded to the retiring • office.B, president, secretary, treasurer, and other of the Amalgamated Society of Carpenters and Joiners, for their earnest and valuable services on behalf of the Union.
