CHARGES AGAINST BANNISTER.
THE ACCUSED ACQUITTED.
(BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.)
Wellington, this day. The Supreme Court was occupied the whole of yesterday rehearing the charge against W. E. Bannister, formerly a clerk in the Post Office Department in Auckland and Wellington, of alleged fraudulently issuing a money-order with intent to defraud the Postmaster-General. The Jury returned a verdict of "Not Guilty." The Crown do not intend to proceed any further with the charges on which the accused was commibted for trial.
