DEATH OF MR LUDLOW,

Herbert Ludlow, the clerk of the Court at Helensville, who shot himself on Wednesday was brought down to the Hospital yester. day. From the firsfc, little hopes were entertained for his recovery owing to thanature of the wound. The man succumbed*to fche consequenco of his rash act, at 5 o'clock this morning. The news of his death was forwarded to fche Coroner, Dr Philson, to-day, but owing to the witnesses being so far from town the usual inquest cannot be held until to-morrow. '
