ELECTION NOTES.
A meeting of Mr H. T. Garratt's Committee was held last evening in the Committee, room, Great North Road. There was a large attendance, and judging from the interest taken and the reports handed in, Mr Garratt's chances of success seem to be
improving every day. A largo amount of business was transacted. The meeting adjourned till Friday evening next, at the same place.
Mr E. W. Morrison's general committee will meet at 7.30 this evening in the Burns Club Room, Karangahape Road. Mr Morrison will attend on Friday, and will be prepared to answer any questions that may be asked by trade representatives or others.
Mr O. J. Hodge, in order not to split the protection vote, has retired from the contest for Dunedin Central.
Another large meeting of Mr C. S. Wright's Committee was held last evening, there being between 30 and 40 present. Satisfactory reports were received and tho roll was gone over, after which the meeting adjourned till Friday. Mr Wright addresses tho electors in thePonsonby Hall at 8 o'clock this evening.
