Mr Mitchelson at Waikomiti.

Mr Edwin Mitchclson addressed the electors of Eden last night in the Waikomiti school-house. Mr H. E. Sharp was voted to the chair. Mr. Mitchelson elucidated his views upon political subjects for upwards of an hour. Mr Mitchelson answered a few questions in a satisfactory manner. Mr E. Parr moved a vote of thanks and confidence in Mr Mitchelson, which was seconded by Mr W. Cantwell. Anamendment of a. vote of thanks only was proposed by Mr Bosom worth and seconded by Mr Kennerley. Only 13 voted for tho amendment and 40 for tho motion, which was accordingly carried by a large majority. Mr Mitchel son briefly returned thanks, and on his motion a vote of thanks was accorded to the Chairman. At the conclusion of the meeting a committee was formed of persons willing to support Mr Mitchelson-candida-ture, Mr W. Cantwell being appointed Chairman.
