SUICIDE OF A CLERGYMAN.
Result of 111 Health
Hawera, this day. The Rev. Henry Clere, vicar of Twickenham, Somersetshire, England, committed suicide this morning at Hawera Parsonage, where he was'staying "as' a gaest for a few days. For years he has suffered from 111----healbh, and had come into Hawera from his son-in-law's farm near Opunake in consequence of an acute attack of illness. Last 11 ight he retired to rest apparently better than usual and in good spirits, but on breakfast being taken to his room it was discovered that he had committed suicide by hanging himself to the bed post." The deceased was 7l) years old.
