ATTEMPTED SUICIDE.

Wellington, Tuesday. Avo ung man maned Arthur Cartel - , a draper's assistant, at present out of employment, stabbed himself this morning. Last night he had a quarrel with a woman with whom he had been living, and she lefb him and went to a friend's house. He followed her, and on her refusing to return with him he drew a pocket knife and inflicted a wound on the left breast, just over the heart. The wound is not considered dangerous.
