A Thanksgiving Jubilee service was held at the Hebrew Synagogue this morning, prayers especially composed for the occasion by the Bey. Di\ Adler, chief Rabbi of the British Jews, being read by the Rev. S. Goldstein, Thero does not appear to be very great excitement amongst the shipping over the approaching Jubilee festivities, and we have riot heard of any preparations for making; a display of fireworks from vessels in port; on Jubilee night. This is all the more singular because the " skippers " are usually well to the fore in such matters. They probably only want the reminder that Jubileo night, Tuesday, the 21st inst., will afford an excellent opportunity to explode any surplus powder, and this much having been siaid, the wharves will, no doubt, as usual, be one of the centres of attraction when fthe grand illuminations take place. The Mayor's Jubilee dinner at the Albert Hotel on Tuesday night next will commence) at a quarter past eight o'clock, punctually, instead of half-past' seven o'clock, as originally fixed, to enable guests at the; dinner to first see the illuminations. Th c Secretaiy of the Tramway Company has written to the Council stating that the Company's manager will be in Queen-street on Jubilee night, and if he finds it neces-' sary he will arrange for the cars to stop at the top of Wellesley-streets East and West and not proceed through Queen-street. But they did not think this action would be necessary, as the cars if driven through Queen-street at a walking pace would not interfere with pedestrian's traffic. We have pleasure in acknowledging receipt of £1, towards the "Jubilee Relief Fund," from P.. A. Phillips, Esq.
