Jubilee Thanksgiving.
A special Jubilee thanksgiving service will be held at the Tabernacle.on.Wednes day evening :next. Major H. C. Dane and Pastor Thos. : Spurgeon will_ speak, _ and special musical attractions will be given. Amongst thie decorations of special note is the Queen's Jubilee motto, "Peace on Earth, etc," in gold letters upon a royal blue silk ground, also that of " Vivat Regina," on crimson silk in letters of gold. A , splendid portrait'of the Queen, surrounded by floral decorations will be lent for the casion by thf,j Savings Bank authorities. Upon the platSform will be large numbers of pot and cut ilowers. On this occasion the funds collected will go towards the funds of the Orphanage for boys and girls, under the presidency of the Rev. C. H. Spurgeon, particulars /ot which will be supplied. Major Dane: Subject will be " What Shall We Do for the Poor Children." The Metropolitan Ta.bernacle i (London) friends contributed liljOOO towards the Auckland Tabernacl,e Building Fund, and the Auckland congregation can now respond on behalf of the London Orphanage.
