-Journal de St. Petersburg" in an article to-day, speaks irronicolly of Randolph Churchill's solicitude for tho people ot the Balkan "Peninsula, as expressed in his Lordship's speech on Saturdry last. Tho journal hopes the people of tho Balkan States will co-operate with a viow of recovering Bulgaria from agitators who are abusing their present power to punish political opponents, and ondeaj vouring to secure a majority intheNationa Assembley.

Sydney, October 6.—J00 Adams, alias Ctffeey, who was arrested at Fermount North, in this colony, is fully identified as tho Barrier Island murderer. His companion, Perm, is not yet traced.

I ondon, October sth. — The Aorangi from Wellington, August 26th, arrived at Plymouth this morning. Her cargo of meat is in good condition.
