Hastings Racecourse, this doy. Tub second day's racing took placo to-day. Thore was a large attendance, and the weather was fine. Results: —
Maiden Plate of 60sovs. Weigbt-for-age. One milo and a-quarter. Mr J. Munn's Rivulet, 3yrs (A. Woods) 1 Captain Russell's Fardingdale, 3yrs (Reeves) ... - Mr J. John.tone's Orwoll, 6yrs (Robinson) 3 Kitty Totara, Expelled, Forester, Musk Rose. British Lion, and Snapshot also ran. Expelled and Fartingale were the first to get away, and maintained the lead past the stand, when they all closed up. At the turn, Musk Rose fell nnd rolled over his rider, Myors. At the back of the course Rivulet went up to Fardingale,and Expelled dropped back. Coining into tho straight, Rivulet took the lead, winning easily by a length. Time, 2min 9 4 oths sec. Dividend, £1 10s.
Handicap Hurdle Race of lOOsovs. Second horse to receive losovs from the stake. About two miles. Gallon's b g Liborty, 6yrs, 9sfc*"lb (Warren) ... ... •■• ••• ••• 1 W. Ellingham's b m Denbigh, aged, list 101b (Ellingbam) 2 W. Ellingham's b g Bide-a-Wee, 9st (O'Shanessy) •■• 3 Belle, Director, Volcano, and Kangaroo also ran. Volcano and Bide-a-wee were thefirst totakethelead, followod by Denbigh Thoy maintained this order for the first milo and a balf, when Liberty and Denbigh closed up and went to the front. Half way down the straight the two cleared away from the rest, Liberty winning by a longth fr.m Denbigh, Bide-a wee a bad third. There were 240 investors inside, two being on tho winner. Dividend, £103 10s ; outsider 341 ; dividend, £153 9a.
