Thames, thw day; ; Bright Ssule.—Crushing was started with ten head of stampera at- the Queen of Beauty battery yesterday. About 20 loadswill be crushed, and a payable return is expected. " ; Qoeek of Beauty.—Tho Bhaft i 3 now 30ft. below No. 10 level in good country, and tho machinery is working exceedingly well. : ;• •Caledonian Low Level.—A solid body of stono has been cut over 18 inches in width at tho 640 feet level crosscut. The quartz has a favourable appearance. Rocky Point.—Gold has been seen in breaking tHe leader cut in the level on Saturday. Deep Level Cross.—Have started to crush a trial parcel from the leader bein» driven on at No. 5 lovel. ° CamiSria'.—Broke down the reef in'tho east drive laßt night, and sot a rich haul of 90rbs of specimens, and left gold showing. Good gold has now been' followed in'this drive for over 20 feet, which speaks well for the blocks both above and below. Caledonian. — After driving 103 ft. through havd' work, the crosscut at No. 3 level has entered better country, and good progress should now be made till the lied . Queen leader is cut at No; 2 level; Payable dirt continues to come from tho 'eastern drive. ' '■■'.','

New Prince Imperial.—No. 7 level crosscut is hi'B9ft., and about a fortnight should see the reef to hand. Tho stopes east and west of the break above No. 6, and also east of the shaft above No. 5, arc producing payable dirt,'solbs. of "specimens being obtained west of the break during the week. •'-'• • • °
