We are glad to learn that the Bale of Surrey Hills Estato has been postponed with a view to removing tho features that have been objected to, and which have called forth tho veto of thelocalgoverningbody. As a very largearea of land will be saved by the abolition of the narrow streets, intended by the promoters, it is said, as back entrances only, these might, without 103.S to tho vendors, bo thrown into ono or two blocks for school and recreation reserves. If tho company,Eas is authoritatively stated, meant these streets only as back entrances, the course suggested will at once commend itself to their judgment.
