THE MISSING ELECTION WRITS.
[by telegraph.—press association.]
WELLINGTON, this day. It is the writ for Waikonaiti that is missing, not the Rodney one.
The Rodney writ was received by the Clerk of Writs by mail this morning. The delay will be put right by Ordcr-in-Conncil, and tho irregularity in regard to the Waikouaiti writ will also be corrected in the same manner, but it is still doubtful whether the Act will enable the Governor-in-Council to direct a return for Hokitika under the circumstances.
