The annual nicctin; of the ratepayers of the Cambridge high my district took place at the National llote on Wednesday, the IGtli instant, sixteen being present,—Mr J. G. Smith in the chair. The annual report was read by tht chairman of the late Board of Trustees. The secrelary read an abstract of the accaints of the Board during the past year, vhich rat as follows : —Receipts—To rates cjjlectedj £276 Os 3d ; fixed deposit, £300 ; hterest, £3 7s 6d ; second instalment of G)vcrnmtnt subsidy, £356 9s lid; Waikatc Courtly Council, £450 ; Cambridge and Jiako Joad, £300; sale of two posts, £1 2s ; received for roads stopped, £72 14s; dejpsit in stopping road, £5; refunded fron thi Tawahere Board, £5; refunded from Kirikiriroa Board, £G; dr. bal.-.nc*, £67 Is lid —total. £1972 ISs 4d.. Ependiture— By debtor ; Balance at theendof last year, £129 7s 5d ; road formation, £34 16s 5d ; gravelling roads, £571 17s 4t; repairs of roads £239 14» fid ; sundry expenditure, as per cash book, £100 12s lOd j rugineers for surveying, £10G 3s 2d ; valuer, salary, £G; collecting rates, £13 12s Gd;advertising, £30 13s Gd ; secretary's salary £10 ; bridges aud culverts, £230 Is Sd. Tdd, £1,972 ISs 4d. The report and balatii-sheet were adopted on the motion of Mi 6. E. Clark, seconded by Mr W. A. Grahji. The following gentlemen were clectd trustees for the ensuing year : Messrs \\: Martyn, J. Shaw, .s. S." Graham, J. Aivill, and J. Fergusson. Auditors: Mesis J. Hally, and U. M. D.
