Claim £(JO, damages. , Mr Tyler for plaintiffs, and MrHesketh for defendant
The examination of witnesses-in this case was resumed this morning', and the following evidence taken :—
Mr Biowu interpreted. " Wiremu Tarak deposed -tliat he was a part pvyuer of the bull. ■ Remembered losing the'buli in April of last "year.' He went with other natives to' Mr' Ha!wke's farm to hunt for the bull. Saw, Hawke ; told him -of their loss, and that he had been- told the beastyvasiaunong Hawke's cattle. He told them to go and look: for themselves. ..fie waited their return on the beach; - i •'_:
'.- This witness's 'evidence was, but, a-repe-tition of the statement of the previous natives who had been ex-mined by Mr Tyler. ■ : , .
