STAR TENNIS CLUB
At the annual meeting of the Star Tennis Club the balance sheet showed that the year had been a successful one. The following officers were elected
Patron—Mr W. H. Montgomery. Patroness—Mrs T. Thompson, President—Mr C. Dutton. Vice-Presidents—Miss Coop, Mrs M. Lee, Messrs J. V. Chapman, J. Johnston, T. Mould, J. Londrigan, H. \j T. Chapman, and L. Breitmeyer. Club Captain—Mr J. Reed. Secretary—Mr R. Chapman. Committee —Mrs L. S. Radford, . Miss G. Reed, Messrs H. Dutton, L. || Humphries, R. Chapman, L. Dutton, and J. Reed. a ;
The opening day was held on Saturday when there was a good attendance. Mr J. Reed, Club Captain welcomed the visitors and asked Mr Dutton (president) to present thp cjps won last season and declare, the coming season open.
Mr Dutton presented the following cups:—
John Burns Cup for Men's Handicap Singles was won by Mr R. Chap-
man,
The Dutton Cup for Ladies' Handicap Singles was won by Mrs T. Lee.
Mr Dutton congratulated the winners and wished the Club a successful season. He then declared the season
