WOMENS' DIVISION N.Z. FARMERS' UNION
i PIGEON BAY BRANCH Mrs W. J. Peitigrew presided over a fair attendance at the October meeting of the Pigeon Bay branch of the Womens Division of the Farmers' Union. Motions of sympathy were passed with Mr Kinghorn and family and Mrs McQueen and family in their recent bereavements. The roll call was "A Gardening Hint" and many useful "hints were given. The president welcomed a new member. Gifts were brought for the Makogai Lepers. Competition winners were; Vase of Spring flowers, Mrs J. Coffey 1, Mrs W. J. Pettigrew and Mrs D. N. Waghorn 2 -(equal); Article from skein of wool, Miss V. Reynish 1, Miss N. Duxbury 2. Hostesses weie Mrs H. Pettigrew and Mrs J. C. Reynish.
