The Mayor said' he hoped an endeavour would be made to make the Regatta a success. The support they had had' in the past had been most disappointing and he hoped these who had taken such a keen interest in- the Sanders Cup regatta would join' forces with the Regatta committee and' make a success of it. i The chairman, before closing- the jir.E_tr.o- said the Sanders Cup had bean one of the most successful [functions they had held in Akaroa and proved that the people could ccms to the front and make a success of things. From, start to finish enthusiasm; had been engendered and he thanked' them all very much for the support given. A hearty vote of thanks to the chairman: was passed l with acclamation.
