Great Central Otago Week.

We have received the following communication from the secretary of the Dunstan District Horticultural Society, and commend it to our readers:—

The banquet which is being teudered to Mr R. Scott, M.P., at Roxburgh has been postponed from the 18th to the 19th inst., so as to allow the Roxburgh Banquet Executive to co operate with the Dunstan District Horticultural Society, with the object of making a represeutative d'splay of the products of Oeutral Ocago at the show at Clyde on the 18tb inst. The members of Parliament attending the banquet, amoug who;u will probably be Mr Massey, will visit the show and go on to Roxburgh the following morning. Invitations have alao been sent to all the other Otago M.P.'s, and it is expected .tint a Minister will be present. As there will be so many members of Parliament present the show will afford a unique opportunity of thoroughly advertising the great possibilities of the various parts of Central Otago. It has been decided to display the products in three separate bays—Roxburgh, Clyde and Alexandra, and Upper Olutha ; and in the interests of your district you ate urged to contribute exhibits of any products which you may hive at your disposal, and also influence your friends to do likewise. Special stewards have been appointed to attend to the staging of exhibits from Roxburgh and Upper Clutha, so that these will be place.! on as an advantageous a footing as more local exhibits.
