MAIDEN VOYAGE

NEW LINER ORONSAY SYDNEY, Nov. 22. The Orient line announces that the maiden sailing from London of the liner Oronsay has been fixed for May 16 —two months later than the date scheduled before the recent fire. She is expected to arrive in Fremantle on June 8, and in Sydney on June 18, and will leave on the return journey on June 29. The inquiry as to the cause of the fire is proceeding, but the present indications are that it resulted from a welder’s spark becoming imprisoned behind insulation, causing an inert fire which did not manifest itself for some hours after the welders had left the ship.
