ATOMIC RESEARCH
PROGRESS AT HARWELL CENTRE (Rec. 10.0 a.m.) LONDON, Aug. 22. Substances with stronger radioactivity than ever before are being produced at the Harwell atomic energy centre for medidal research • all over the world, says the “Evening News.” The highest strength of radio-active iodine yet produced was dispatched to 15 nations in June, according to the latest radio-isotope production figures issued by the Supply Ministry to-day. “Atomic lodine” is used for diagnosis and research and for blood treatment and cancer therapy.
