BILL ON USE OF UNION FUNDS
PROTEST BY FEDERATION OF LABOUR (P.A.), WELLINGTON, Aug. 15. The New Zealand Federation of Labour has written to the Prime Minister (Mr Holland) asking him to withdraw the Political Disabilities Removal Amendment Bill or, failing that, to refer it to a committee so that parties can make submissions. The letter was sent to Mr Holland yesterday by the president of the federation (Mr A. W. Croslcery). Mr Croskery said last night that letters and telegrams from various parts of the executive committee of the federation that the Government’s action in bringing down the Bill violated a democratic principle.
