CORONATION CUP The first round of the Coronation Cup was played by members of the Ashburton Women’s Golf Club yesterday. The results were as follow: —Miss C. Macfarlane beat Miss P. Harper, Mrs H. A. Vezey beat Mrs D. C. Macfarlane by default, Mrs E. R. Easterbrook beat Miss E. Brown, Mrs A. Caithness beat Mrs J. H. Grigg, Mrs C. Bonnington and Mrs C. Hardy halved, Mrs S. H. Truman beat Mrs J. Allen by default, Mrs W. G. Todd beat Mrs W. Drummond by default, Mrs W. J. Heenan beat Mrs K. G. Nicoll, Mrs P. J. Clark beat Mrs L. E. Carter, Miss J. Dunlop beat Mrs N. Robilliard by default, Miss J. Thomas and Mrs R. W. Dixon halved, Mrs F. G. Holland beat Mrs A. Bruce, Mrs T. Casserley beat Mrs S. Gray, Mrs R. Brown beat Mrs E. Millichamp.
