SIXTEEN DEATHS
SMALLPOX IN RANGOON (Rec. 9.30 a.m.) RANGOON, April 12\ Sixteen persons died of smallppx in Rangoon in the first week of April, the Burmese health authorities announced to-day. Another 27 were infected. The proportion of deaths was lower than in recent weeks. The authorities are taking _ legal action against people concealing infection and treating, relatives at home. Of 250 who had been treated in this way, only one survived.
