PRODUCTION OF BRICKS STOPPED (P.A.) AUCKLAND, Apfil 11. < Auckland builders will have to wait longer for bricks now. One city firm has had to stop production because there are no men to make bricks. In the last three years builders have had to wait up to six months for common building bricks and even longer for special lines. ' Many brick workers had gone on to seasonal jobs, said an executive of the firm affected to-day. The weather this summer was particularly good for brick making. “But just when the dry weather came along,” he added, “lambs had to be killed, the men- left, and we had to go on short production.”
