METHODIST YOUTH

I CAMP AT WAIMATE . I-leld at Waimate over Easter, the second mixed camp organised by the South Canterbury District Methodist Youth Council proved an outstanding success. It was attended by 104 young people from Ashburton, South Canterbury and North Otago, and extended over four days. A mixed doubles tennis tournament was held and the Bishop Shield for junior players was won by Shirley Bennett (Ashburton) and A. White (Waimataitai)T 'ln athletics, Ashburton finished third in the contest for the Radcliffe Shield. The district trophy, for all camp activities, was won by Waimataitai (68 points) with Ashburton (57 points) runners-up.
