TASMANIA’S SIAMESE TWINS

PUBLIC SCREENING OF. FILM BANNED SYDNEY, March 14. The public screening of a film of Tasmania’s Siamese twins has been banned throughout Australia,-but the film will be available to members of the medical and nursing professions. The screening of the film in New South Wales for general exhibition was prohibited by the Chief Secretary, and the Commonwealth Film Censor applied for similar ban in other States. The chief reason for the banning was the effect the film might have on young mothers and expectant mothers. The film has been passed for export and copies have been sent to England and fhe United States. Dr. J. Walker!, of Wynyard, Tasmania, said to-day that X-ray photographs showed the babies had no tops to their skulls and that separation was probably impossible. 1 The hospital authorities reported today that the twins were “very fit,”
