FLEMINGTON BRANCH MEETING Owing to the inclement weather Mrs K. Taylor (president) presided over only a fair attendance of members at the March meeting of the Flemington branch of the Women’s Division of Federated Farmers. One new member was welcomed. Mrs C. Danielson offered to write a letter of cheer to a member in hospital. Members were reminded of the inter-provincial conference on March 14, the annual meeting on April _ls because of Easter, and the executive annual meeting on May 5. The roll call, “What I’d like on next year's programme,” brought forth many helpful suggestions. Competitions resulted:—Basket of flowers and fruit for an invalid: Mrs G. Blee i, Miss .T. Bratley 2, Mrs T. Williams 3. Vase of mauve flowers: Mrs G. Blee 1, Mrs K. Sutherland 2, Mrs E. Taylor 3. Plate of mixed savouries: Mrs E. Taylor 1, Mrs C. Danielson 2, Miss J. Bratley 3. Bloom: Mrs G. Blee 1, Mrs J. Omelvena 2, Mrs K. Taylor 3. A social half-hour brought a pleasant meeting to a close. The hostesses were Mesdames E. Danielson and G. Miles.
