MISSING MAN SAFE
Found In Christchurch Leonard Guy Lawn, whose absence from Ashburton since last Monday has caused much apprehension, is safely home again. Mr Lawn left home about 2.30 on Monday afternoon, and as he had not returned at 9 o’clock Mrs communicated with the police, stating her fear that he had met with some misadventure, or had suffered temporary loss of memory. Search parties were out on Monday, Tuesday and yesterday, but the Christchurch police notified the Ashburton Station. at 9 o’clock this morning that Mr Lawn had been located at the Grosvenor Hotel, at which he had been staying, since Monday evening. He reached Chx-istchurch by walking to Chertsey, and getting lifts‘from there to Rakaia and thence,to the city. No specific reason is assigned for the 1 adventure, but fears of black-out or breakdown seem to have been groundless, and Mr Lawn told the police that he had planned to come home by train this morning.
