STATE VISIT TO LONDON
M. AURIOL GOES TO THE BALLET LONDON, March 9: The three-day State visit .of the French President (M. Vincent Auriol; and Mrs Auriol reached its climax tonight with a gala ballet performance at the Royal Opera House, Covent Gardent. It was the most brilliant scene London had witnessed since before the war, and it was a fitting end to M. Auriol’s immensely successful visit. M. Auriol will return to France tomorrow. Thousands waited outside Buckingham Palace to cheer Their Majesties, M. and Mrs Auriol, and members of the Royal Ramily as they left by caifor Covent Garden. Another huge crowd was waiting at the Opera House.
