CLOSE-QF-YEAR MEETING The branch president, Mrs *F. H. Chapman presided when the Lagmhor R.W.M.U. held their close-of-year meeting on Thursday afternoon last. Mrs Chapman and Miss Sheate were appointed to represent ijlie branch at the December meeting of the Presbyterial Association. . The visitors appointed to visit the sick during the vacation were Mrs J. D. Wright and Mrs A. Sutton.
' Members responded to the roll call, a verse of scripture. Miss M. Crosson reported on the Dominion conference held recently at Timaru, for which she was thanked by Mrs Chapman. After the close of the meeting, afternoon tea was served, Mrs J- Blair and Mrs J. Langdon acting as the hostesses.
