BIG U.S. PLANE
WILL CARRY 200
WASHINGTON, Nov. 10.
The United States Air Force announced to-day the completion of the first C 124 Glopemaster 11, which is designed to carry 200 fully equipped soldiers and field equipment. The aeroplane will be tested in flight later this month.
It can be used to fly tanks, field guns, bulldozers and fully loaded trucks. The aeroplane is 127 feet long, 48 feet high, and has a wingspan of 173 feet.
