BIRTHDAY ON MONDAY (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter— Copyright). (Roc. 11.35 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 11 Baby Prince Charles, of Edinburglij second in the line of succession to the British throne, , will celebrate his first birthday on Monday, with a quiet family party at his London home in Clarence House.
Princess Elizabeth lias planned the party in the blue and gold drawingroom, and an iced birthday cake will be cut in the baby prince’s honour.
Prince Charles has spent most of his first year like any other babyasleep. At least two teeth have appeared. Photographs and reports show him to he a growing, sturdy child, with evident character.
His father, the Duke of Edinburgh, will not be at the party, hut the family will have a reunion when Princess Elizabeth and Prince Charles fly to Malta, where the Duke “is on naval duty, on November 19. The day after is their wedding anniversary.
