ISSUE OF CROWNS
START NEXT THURSDAY (P.A) WELLINGTON, This Day. Crown pieces, minted for the Royal tour would be issued in 'New Zealand at their face value of ss, and would he available next Thursday, said the Minister of Finance, the Rt. Hon. W. Nash, tot 'day. The distribution of the coins * throughout New Zealand would he on as wide a scale as possible.
“The bulk of the 20,000 coins minted has now been received and preparations are complete for their distribution through the trading banks, from which the public will be able to obtain the coin»3,” said Mr Nash. “Small supplies of the coins are available in London, Washington, Montreal, San Francisco, Sydney and Melbourne, for the convenience of overseas collectors.”
