RESIGN RUMOUR
WAITAKI B.H.S. RECTOR " \ (P.A.) DUNEDIN, Nov. 11. The rector of Waitaki Boys High School (Mr J. T. Burrows) may resign because of a difference of opinion with the board of governors over the appointment of an assistant master to succeed Mr W. M. Uttley, whose retirement was announced recently. It is understood that Mr Burrow’s resignation will be discussed at a special meeting of the board early next week when an official statement explaining the circumstances may be expected. Mr Burrows, who had a distinguished war record, was appointed rector in 1944, in succession to the late Mr Frank Milner.
