FOUR PERSONS KILLED
AMMUNITION EXPLODES ON BARGE (Rec. 11.10 a.m.) LONDON, Aug. 24. A barge captain, his small daughter, and two deck hands were killed today when ammunition exploded in a Belgian barge in the Scheldt Estuary, reports Reuter’s correspondent at Antwerp. The vessel blew up as its cargo of explosives was being transferred to a freighter.
