REPERTORY SOCIETY

ACTIVITIES RESUMED After being in recess for two years because of the lack of building and staging facilities, the Ashburton Repertory Society will soon be entertaining the public with performances of a nature which pleased audiences in pre-war years. At a meeting of the committee last evening a resolution to this effect was passed, in view of the fact that by the completion of the R.S.A. buildings facilities for such performances are in sight. The society hopes to resume operations with a three-act play, to be produced near the end of this year. There is a large membership and a revival of this organisation will be beneficial, as performances will be of an educational value to audiences.
