SOUGHT AS WAR CRIMINAL
BULGARIAN OFFICIAL IN LONDON ' LONDON, August 22. Reuter’s Athens correspondent says that Mr Boris Temkov, Press Attache at the Bulgarian Embassy in London, is sought by Greece as a war criminal. Mr Temkov is charged with “murders, the exile of civilians, organising fore-, ed labour for military purposes, and looting the property of Greek citizens.” The charge is made by the Greek Office of War Criminals after an examination of his record and after evidence of witnesses had been heard. On. August 11 the British Government asked the Bulgarian Charge d’Affaires in London for the recall of Mr Temkov. No reason was given for the request beyond the statement that he was persona non grata. The Greek indictment alleges that Mr Temkov tried to change “Thrace’s ethnological complexion” by exterminating Greeks.
