GANGES IN FLOOD
500 Villages Under Water (Rec. 11.0) LUCKNOW, August 22. Nearly 500 villages in the United Provinces are'under water as a result of floods after heavy rains. .The river Ganges and three of its tributaries are in flood. The water level is now only three feet below danger level in some places. Considerable damage to crops and property is reported, and {Tie Government is evacuating people in boats. \
