HELICOPTER FAILS

Fairey Aviation Company, Mr Foster Dixon, aged 37, was killed today, when a , Fau;ey gyrddyne helicopter, which Ate.; was flying, crashed near Reading. His ! observer was also killed. Mr Dixon, who was a specialist m h.elicoptere, would often let go the “controls of the gyrodyne at 500 feet in demonstrations, and allow the machine to land itself. Mr Dixon used to. move about the airfield on a bicycle to which he had fitted sails.
