AREAS AWARDED BELGIUM (Rec. 11.30) BRUSSELS, April 15. Belgium has decided not to occupy, for the time being, the most denselypopulated parts -of German territory awarded her by- the Western occupying powers along the Belgian-German frontier.,
About 5000 Germans, in six enclaves to the west of the Raer-Kalterherberg railway line, will remain temporarily under German rule as part of the British zone.
' A communique gave, as reasons, the present travel restrictions, monetary problems and . cumbersome control measures, which would be required. Karl Arnold, Minister-President of North Rhine, Westphalia, said that Belgium’s gesture was a contribution to the spirit -of a new Europe.
