REVERSE TO REDS

NATIONALISTS IN CHINA (Rec. 9.30 a.m.) NANKING, April 15. Continuing their combined land, sea and air attacks on the Communists, the Nationalists to-day are reported to have recaptured the north bank bridgehead at Sankiang, about G2 miles east of Nanking. Two additional Communist regiments and one battalion are claimed to have been wiped out.

Political observers in Nanking say that the reports of Nationalist counterattacks since the opening of the formal peace talks might have serious repercui-sions. Unconfirmed reports said that the Nationalist operations followed a telephone conference with Generalissimo Chiang Kai-sliek' at Chikow.
