FUNERAL DEFERRED
“CORPSE” MAY BE ALfVE J _____ PARIS, Jan. 12. The funeral of Jean Clobours, aged 61, farmer, of Lesves, lias been postponed until a special panel of doctors decided whither he is dead or alive. Clobours, who was taken ill with influenza last Wednesday, “passed away” early on Saturday morning, and the family doctor issued a death certificate.
Friends and relatives who helped on Sunday and Monday with the funeral arrangements noticed that the body was still warm and supple, also that Clobour’s back was slightly moist, presumably through perspiration. One of the relatives remembered that Clobour’s grandmother had fallen ill at one time and slept for a week. A distant eonsin, it was recalled, had also been similarly stricken. The local gendarmerie were called in and ordered the funeral to be postponed pending a further examination.
