Collision with Pedestrian —A judge in Dublin awarded a 60-year-old woman £6B damages and costs for a broken arm suffered in a collision with another pedestrian. The defendant said he was crossing a road and saw a car coming. He increased his pace, and collided with the woman, who was stepping off the pavement. The woman claimed that he “walked violently against me, throwing me heavily to the ground.” The judge said that pedestrians had to he careful of other pedestrians. He thought the defendant had not kept a proper look-out.— Dublin, January 11.
