METHODIST CHURCH
ASHBURTON CIRCUIT QUARTERLY MEETING The quarterly meeting of the Ashburton Methodist Church was held last evening, presided over by the Rev. W. T. Blight. Business transacted was largely of a routine character, consisting of reports from church organisations and the appointment of officers and committees.
Mr H. Frampton and Mr Blight reported on the recent Synod, held at Ashburton. Minutes are to be recorded expressing appreciation of the work of Messrs H. D. Besanl and J. Penman, both of whom are expected to commence theological training next month. Messrs H. Frampton and E. B. F. I-light were reappointed circuit stewards and Mr L. Armstrong financial steward.
