TEACHING ADULTS TO SWIM
. Mr A. Calcier (physical welfare officer for the . Department of Internal Affairs) visited Methven yesterday, and was met by representatives of various sports bodies. He has agreed to visit Methven for several days next week, accompanied by Mr'M. Howe, and will coach cricket and tennis players at the Methven Domain. The two visitors will also give instruction to adults wishing to learn to swim and have arranged to reserve the swimming bath between 4.30 and 5.30' p.m. for this purpose. Swimmmers will not be admitted while the learners’ session is on.
