MISSED A FORTUNE
(Rec. 11 a.m.) NEW YORK, Jan. 11 On his official visit to the Mayor of New York (Mr O’Dwyer), Mr Fraser told a story about the only person he knew who had tipped President Truman’s reelection. “This amazing person was a pretty little secretary in the United States delegation in Paris. She said all along that Mr Truman would win the election and was so confident that she took bets on it. She did not know anything about odds or she could have made a fortune. She took all her bets on an even-money basis.”
