WARM AND SUNNY TO-DAY

The maximum and minimum temperatures for the 24 hours to 9 o’clock this morning, were 68 and 48. S degrees, against 62 and 51.2 during the previous period, Tire earth temperature to-day was 64.6 degrees against 63.6 yesterday, The barometer this morning had fallen slightly to 29.86 inches, from 29.91.
OUTLOOK FAIR (P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Government Meteorologist, at noon to-day, issued - the following statement regarding the weather:— . General situation: An anti-cyclone is centred east of New Zealand. Pressure is low to the south and over the Western Tasman. The forecast for the east coast of the South Island from' Blenheim to Oamaru to 5 p.m. to-morrow is as follows:-
Light to moderate, north-easterly winds; fair and warm. Further outlook: Fair.
